The towns of the Shomron regional council are spread out the largest municipal area in the State of Israel. Distance between towns add on difficulty for families to receive proper dental services. Mobile Dentist Unit is innovative, on-site, yeshuv based, dental outreach provider. Their mission is to bring state of the art, Full-service dental practices - oral exams, cleanings, fillings, crowns, periodontal treatment and cosmetic dental services to those Shomron residents in need in the most comfortable and effective way possible.
Many children sadly find themselves without easy and affordable access to necessary dental care. Mobile Dentists utilizes locally licensed dentists and hygienists, employing the latest technology in portable equipment based in mobile unit, to provide all services directly on location in each town. Our imaginative program sets up conveniently outside of schools or other suitable locale and acts as a fully functional “dental office” for the day.
For those children and youth without insurance and lacking sufficient funds for a subsidized fee, Shuva Israel, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, provides generous grant-assistance. NO CHILD IS EVER TURNED AWAY for lack of resources.
The costs of running this program include:
Truck to hose the mobile unit $150,000.
Dental clinic equipment $45,000.
Annual costs $130,000.
